Ping Pong movie trailer
This is my inspiration for my dream sequence. In this film the main character has flashbacks of his child hood. To signify the transition between present to past the creator has dulled the colour of the scene and added a subtle soundtrack that helps reinforce the transition. The same character also experience’s a ‘zen’ like status where he becomes focused, effortless and the best and what he is doing. This status can be seen at 2.43 to 3.22 in the first video, everything fades into white expect the two players, and the game they are playing. The blending of the colour white can be quite blinding which add impact to the transition. To me the colour white is important because it conveys to the audience the focus, enjoyment and the purity.
I will aspire to recreate this effect in my video because I believe it will add depth to my video. The colour white has contentions such as peace, purity, heavenly etc. This will help my video be successful as the audience will have the opportunity to gain a deeper insight into my memory. I will create this by adjusting the exposure of my camera; I will let more light in so the image is over exposed. I will also colour correct the footage to create this effect.
